The Building on Our Faith Initiative is the next chapter of Nativity of Christ’s history. This campaign is more than a construction project, it is an investment in the future ministry, worship, hospitality, and accessibility of our parish for generations to come through four capital projects:
Many parishioners face significant difficulty navigating the elevation differences on our campus between the church and the Large Hall. Installing an elevator will improve accessibility, helping to ensure that parishioners are able to participate fully in parish life and access all facilities with dignity and ease.
Enhancing and extending the Narthex will strengthen the long-term utility and beauty of our church, while embracing the traditional Byzantine architecture that reflects our Orthodox heritage. This project will enrich our worship experience and address several important needs: a divine presence, drop-off area, spacious courtyard, a spiritual welcome, restrooms, visitors center, multipurpose room, storage, walk of faith, and olive grove.
Since the construction of the Large Hall, a smaller gathering space has been envisioned to support intimate events, meetings, and ministries. The new Small Hall will offer an alternative venue to support the expanding activity of parish life.
Replacing the existing cupola with an enlarged dome will allow the proper installation of the Pantokrator icon and help open the interior worship space, further elevating the heavenly character of our liturgical environment.
