Sunday School
Orthodox Christians are able to participate in the life of the Church from early childhood as parents are encouraged to baptize and christen their children at infancy. Through their presence and participation in worship services, our children cultivate their relationship with God from a young age. Their faith continues to be nurtured through their education in Sunday School.
Students begin their lesson by attending the Divine Liturgy with their family and entire community. After receiving the Holy Eucharist, they attend class with their respective grade members where dedicated NOC stewards teach the day’s lesson. Each grade emphasizes a different area of the Church but the overall 2021 theme focused on the 7 Sacraments: Baptism, Chrismation, Communion, Confession, Unction, Marriage, and Ordination.

Greek Experience Ministry

The Greek language has played a vital role throughout human history but none more important than being the original language of the New Testament.

Bible Study
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:17
Consistently reading the Word of God as given to us through Holy Tradition is one of the most important practices of a Christian. Reading and understanding the gospels and epistles are critical in understanding Christ’s role in our lives and our lives in Christ.
Whether read for instruction, strength, encouragement or comfort, Scripture is the foundation of our faith in Jesus. We every week on Tuesday at 9 am, all are welcome to read, discuss and understand the sacred writings of the evangelists and apostles with Fr. John.

Continued education and understanding of the Church is critical for all who wish to engage in a relationship with Christ. Every other Wednesday evening, all are welcome to discuss, learn and understand the numerous aspects of the precious Orthodox faith. Currently our focus is on discussing the series, "The Chosen."
Presentations and discussions revolve around the numerous topics that make up the Church’s 2,000 year old Holy Tradition: iconography, architecture, liturgical practices, hymnology, spirituality, history and the lives of the saints are examples of why it is important to learn and understand Holy Tradition. We meet every other Wednesday evening, all are welcome
